For us, it’s a concrete commitment: to measure our actions, continuously improve, and contribute to a fairer and more sustainable world.
The Certification Process
B Corp™ certification is based on a rigorous process designed to ensure a real, measurable, and lasting impact:
- Considering all stakeholders – The B Corp™ process assesses how the company integrates the impact of its decisions on all stakeholders: employees, customers, communities, and the environment. This approach, at the heart of the B Impact Assessment, ensures that company performance goes beyond financial metrics.
- Transparency – Publication of results across five impact areas: governance, workers, customers, communities, and environment.
- Rigorous evaluation – Achieving a minimum score on the B Impact Assessment (BIA), with specific requirements in each area.
- Independent verification – Detailed questionnaire, documented evidence, in-depth audit, and final validation by B Lab.
- Continuous improvement – Certification is renewed every three years and requires proof of concrete progress. Additional requirements apply over time to ensure impact performance remains ambitious and sustainable.
“Certified B Corporation” is a trademark licensed by B Lab, a private non-profit organization, to companies like ours that have successfully completed the B Impact Assessment (“BIA”) and therefore meet the requirements set by B Lab for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
It is specified that B Lab is not a conformity assessment body as defined by Regulation (EU) No 765/2008, nor is it a national, European, or international standardization body as per Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012. The criteria of the BIA are distinct and independent from the harmonized standards resulting from ISO norms or other standardization bodies, and they are not ratified by national or European public institutions.
